{"id":20936,"date":"2024-02-23T10:45:09","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T15:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/bbc-studios-svt-strike-factual-content-deal\/"},"modified":"2024-02-23T10:45:11","modified_gmt":"2024-02-23T15:45:11","slug":"bbc-studios-svt-strike-factual-content-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/bbc-studios-svt-strike-factual-content-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Studios, SVT Strike Factual Content Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BBC Studios has licensed over 280 hours of factual content to Sweden&#8217;s SVT.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement will see a raft of BBC Studios\u2019 content reach SVT channels and services, including SVT1, SVT2, Knowledge Channel and SVT Play, covering a range of natural history, science, history and factual entertainment programming.<\/p>\n<p>Titles include seasons one through eight of <em>Life Below Zero<\/em> and seasons one through seven of <em>Where the Wild Men Are<\/em> <em>with Ben Fogle<\/em>, along with BBC Studios Natural History Unit&#8217;s <em>Mammals<\/em> and <em>Attenborough and the Jurassic Sea Monster<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Historical documentaries include<em> Secrets &amp; Spies: A Nuclear Story<\/em> and <em>Julius Caesar: The Making of a Dictator<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Landmark science series <em>Earth<\/em> tells the four-billion-year story of the planet, and factual entertainment show <em>Amanda and Alan&#8217;s Italian Job<\/em> sees the hosts bring crumbling Italian homes back to life.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Kinsman, senior VP of factual for EMEA at BBC Studios, said: &#8220;I am delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with SVT through this new agreement. With an extensive range of factual content, from documentaries and factual entertainment to natural history landmarks, this marks our biggest factual content deal with SVT to date.
