Blue Ant Studios has picked up 85 hours of programming across a variety of genres from Canadian producers.<\/p>\n
Included in the slate is season two of HeartHat Entertainment’s Bollywed<\/em>, a docuseries centered around the family who has operated the iconic bridal shop Chandan Fashion in Toronto\u2019s Little India for almost 40 years.<\/p>\n More factual highlights from the acquisition include the 60-minute Butt Seriously<\/em> from 90th Parallel, as well as two historical World War II series from Vancouver\u2019s Parallax Films: Hell Below<\/em> and Hitler’s Last Stand<\/em>.<\/p>\n Blue Ant Studios will represent a fourth season of the popular real estate series Lakefront Luxury<\/em> after co-commissioning with Nikki Ray Media Agency and A+E. More series include Push<\/em>, from Alberta\u2019s Fenix Film & Television and Vancouver\u2019s Small Army Entertainment; Flat Out Food<\/em> from Halter Media; and Holmes On Homes: Building A Legacy<\/em> from Toronto\u2019s The Holmes Group.<\/p>\n Blue Ant also took Wild Rose Vets<\/em> from Thunderbird Entertainment and Wapanatahk Media, along with the paranormal series Haunted Hospitals<\/em> (Sphere Media) and History\u2019s Most Haunted<\/em> (Small Army Entertainment).<\/p>\n “At Blue Ant, our relationships with leading third-party Canadian producers is an important part of our strategy,” said Lilla Hurst, global head of acquisitions and content strategy for Blue Ant Studios. “Our aim is to collaborate with premium content creators in the English-speaking world, providing both presale financing and distribution services for their content and, in turn, satisfy our growing numbers of channel clients globally.
