The 60-minute version has been acquired by NRK in Norway for its linear channels and VOD platform, while in New Zealand, the feature has been licensed to Doc Edge Virtual Cinema.<\/p>\n<p>In the film, Gil Avni, a healthy 33-year-old father of two, is rushed to the hospital after being taken suddenly ill. He is paralyzed and given only a few hours to live, but his unique case and subsequent work with medics have led to important changes in medical ethics and protocols.<\/p>\n<p><em>44 Hours<\/em> is a yes, Rotem Gross and Einat-Hana Shamir production, co-produced with Neue Celluloid Fabrik Filmproduktion and SWR (Germany), in cooperation with ARTE (France). It debuted on yes TV earlier this year and was also a hit when it launched on Netflix in Israel.
