BBC Two has commissioned the series Wilderness with Simon Reeve<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 4×60-minute series sees adventurer Simon Reeve explore wild areas and embed himself with the people who make their homes in the wild to understand how they live alongside nature. The show is set to debut on BBC Two and iPlayer in 2024.<\/p>\n

Wilderness with Simon Reeve<\/em> is produced for BBC Two by The Garden, part of ITV Studios.<\/p>\n

Reeve said: \u201cThese have been the most extraordinary journeys and expeditions I\u2019ve ever undertaken. They were knackering, sweaty, draining, emotional, inspiring and occasionally scary. But always bloody brilliant.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur planet is sublimely beautiful. What an incredible wild home we still have to look after and celebrate. We traveled and trekked deep into some of our last great wilderness areas to capture their beauty, meet the people who live there and find some of the most spectacular wildlife on the planet, including giant whale sharks, pumas and bonobos, perhaps our closest relatives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sam Bagnall, executive producer for The Garden, said: \u201cFor almost two decades, Simon has brought us stories from every corner of the world. This is his most ambitious series yet\u2013brutally tough journeys to some of the most remote regions of the planet. Viewers are going to be treated to incredible characters and awesome landscapes in some of the last great wildernesses.\u201d<\/p>\n
