{"id":20242,"date":"2023-10-09T10:34:44","date_gmt":"2023-10-09T14:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/pbs-international-introduces-concorde-untold-story\/"},"modified":"2023-10-09T10:34:44","modified_gmt":"2023-10-09T14:34:44","slug":"pbs-international-introduces-concorde-the-untold-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/pbs-international-introduces-concorde-the-untold-story\/","title":{"rendered":"PBS International Introduces Concorde: The Untold Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PBS International is set to bring <em>Concorde: The Untold Story<\/em> to MIPCOM.<\/p>\n<p><em>Concorde: The Untold Story<\/em> is the complex tale of engineering breakthroughs, espionage and national prestige as the British and French team battled their Russian counterparts at the height of the Cold War in a race to develop the only successful supersonic airliner the world has ever seen.<\/p>\n<p>The U.K. factual indie Blink Films (A Tin Roof Media company) is producing the series, which is a co-production with Smithsonian Channel (U.S.), Channel 4 (U.K.), France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions (France), RTL\/n-tv (Germany), SBS (Australia) and PBS International.<\/p>\n<p>Dan Chambers, creative director for Blink Films, said: \u201c<em>Concorde: The Untold Story<\/em> scratches beneath its sleek supersonic skin to reveal a turbulent history steeped in engineering brilliance, international intrigue and bitter political rivalries as it transports viewers into a Cold War world where being first and going the fastest was worth any price.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tracy Beckett, commissioning editor of content for PBS International, said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with the always-innovating Blink Films on yet another groundbreaking film.
