During the ceremony, produced by Studio Silverback (<em>David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet<\/em>) for the first time, five winners will be given \u00a31 million to help scale their environmental solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The five Earthshots are Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World and Fix Our Climate. The inaugural 2021 finalists have already benefited more than 1.5 million people around the world, and over 7,000 hectares of land and almost 2.1 million hectares of ocean have been protect or restored, while over 35,000 tons of CO2 emissions have been reduced, avoided or sequestered. The 2022 finalists are on their way to creating similar impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStudio Silverback\u2019s mission to reveal the urgent truth of our changing planet to a mass global audience through the power of storytelling makes The Earthshot Prize a brilliant partner,\u201d said Colin Butfield, director of Studio Silverback. \u201cEarthshot\u2019s vision to take action to move towards a better future, aligns perfectly with our mission.
