{"id":19892,"date":"2023-07-24T10:49:59","date_gmt":"2023-07-24T14:49:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/channel-5-commissions-inside-hilton-park-lane\/"},"modified":"2023-07-24T10:49:59","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T14:49:59","slug":"channel-5-commissions-inside-the-hilton-on-park-lane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/channel-5-commissions-inside-the-hilton-on-park-lane\/","title":{"rendered":"Channel 5 Commissions Inside the Hilton on Park Lane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wonderhood Studios has been commissioned to produce the four-part docuseries <em>Inside the Hilton on Park Lane<\/em>\u00a0(w.t.) for Channel 5.<\/p>\n<p>The series will have exclusive access to the London Hilton on Park Lane, the first Hilton hotel in the U.K., as it undergoes a multi-million-pound renovation to mark its 60th anniversary while remaining open for business.<\/p>\n<p>With its exclusive Mayfair address, the Hilton on Park Lane has welcomed some of the world\u2019s most famous and wealthy people, from the Dalai Lama and Princess Diana to Cher. In honor of its 60th birthday, it is undertaking a top-to-bottom transformation, including the construction of a new lobby, restaurant, bar and newly designed rooms and suites. The hotel will be maintaining its full operation during the renovation, continuing to celebrate landmark moments in the British social calendar, including the King\u2019s Coronation and parties for Pride.<\/p>\n<p><em>Inside the Hilton on Park Lane<\/em> is being directed by Bill Bailey and produced and directed by Sam Wildman. Executive producers are Tom Anstiss (<em>My Grandparents\u2019 War<\/em>, <em>Dodi: Last Days of a Playboy<\/em>) and Wonderhood\u2019s Creative Director Samantha Anstiss.<\/p>\n<p>Kit Morey, commissioning editor of unscripted for Channel 5 and Paramount+, said: \u201cLondon Hilton on Park Lane epitomizes luxury, and this series gives us an exciting sneak peek behind the scenes as it undergoes a major overhaul. With exclusive access-all-areas, we get to meet the amazing team and capture all the stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tom Anstiss, executive producer at Wonderhood Studios, added: \u201cRunning one of London\u2019s biggest hotels is a remarkable challenge every day, let alone one undergoing such a vast reconstruction. The hotel is a fascinating cultural microcosm of modern Britain. The staff and the guests come from all over the world, and the hotel runs a pioneering scheme to recruit people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Alongside immersive actuality, our series delves into the staff and guests\u2019 rich back-stories, like few have done before.
