AGC Unwritten, AGC Studios\u2019 unscripted subsidiary, has bolstered its creative team with four appointments, including naming Emily Knight as VP of development.<\/p>\n
Knight joins from Expectation, where she was head of development, running the factual slate and overseeing commissions\u00a0for platforms such as the BBC and Netflix. Prior to that, she was head of development for the U.K. arm of All3Media\u2019s Maverick TV.<\/p>\n
At Maverick TV, Knight sold multiple series, ranging from the adventure engineering format Escape<\/em> for Channel 4 to the reboots of global formats such as\u00a0How to Look Good Naked<\/em> and 10 Years Younger<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI am so happy to join the talented team at AGC Unwritten,\u201d Knight said. \u201cThe studio is embarking on some truly exceptional projects, and I am very excited to develop new formats with such creative people. It is a dream scenario to be part of and a very exciting time.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m delighted to have Emily join the team because in a world where content is global, her experience will be invaluable,\u201d said Joel Zimmer, president of AGC Unwritten.<\/p>\n The company has also hired Yael Egnal as senior manager of development. Prior to joining AGC Studios, she was the manager of development at Xpedition and part of the team that developed HGTV\u2019s Table Wars<\/em>. She has also worked with A24, College Humor and NBC.<\/p>\n Also joining the company is Hannah Shuman, who has been tapped as manager of development. Previously, she was manager of current programming at CNN Original Series, working on shows such as This is Life with Lisa Ling<\/em>. She began her career at NBCUniversal, where she developed unscripted programming across its many brands, including Peacock, USA, Bravo and Oxygen.<\/p>\n Lastly, Moriah Lee has been named coordinator of development.
