{"id":19077,"date":"2022-12-01T10:46:40","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T15:46:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/mentorn-media-taps-channel-4-alum-head-factual\/"},"modified":"2022-12-01T11:27:19","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T16:27:19","slug":"mentorn-media-taps-channel-4-alum-for-head-of-factual","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/mentorn-media-taps-channel-4-alum-for-head-of-factual\/","title":{"rendered":"Mentorn Media Taps Channel 4 Alum as Head of Factual"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mentorn Media has appointed Emily Jones, former commissioning editor for education and documentaries at Channel 4, as head of factual.<\/p>\n<p>Jones will look to further develop Mentorn\u2019s factual production slate, which recently included <em>Children of the Cult<\/em> for discovery+ and <em>Secrets of an ISIS Smartphone<\/em> for the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>At Channel 4, Jones\u2019 commissions included <em>Born Famous<\/em>, <em>Gogglesprogs<\/em>, <em>How The Other Kids Live<\/em>, <em>Born in the Wrong Body<\/em>, <em>Rich Kids of Instagram<\/em>,<em> Class of Mum and Dad<\/em> and <em>Home Free<\/em>, as well as the one-off programs <em>Revenge Porn<\/em>, <em>Steph and Dom: Can Cannabis Save Our Son<\/em>, <em>The Women Who Kill Lions<\/em> and <em>Britain\u2019s Billionaire Immigrants<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to her time at Channel 4, Jones earned credits on the very first <em>Secret Millionaire<\/em> and <em>Undercover Boss<\/em>, as well as <em>Coppers<\/em>, <em>Jamie&#8217;s Ministry of Food<\/em>, <em>Wife Swap<\/em> and <em>Faking It<\/em>. More recently, she worked as a development exec for U.K. producers such as Blast Films and Dragonfly TV and as development producer for Tinopolis Group&#8217;s own Firecracker Films.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Brogden, managing director of Mentorn and director of content for Tinopolis, said, \u201cWe are thrilled to be welcoming Emily to the team at Mentorn.
