It features in-depth interviews with those who worked at the company during that era.<\/p>\n<p>Curly Velasquez, Essence Gant, Jazzmyne Robbins, former BuzzFeed News Editor-In-Chief Ben Smith, former Head of Social Media &amp; Publishing Maycie Timpone, former Senior Editor Sam Stryker and former Head of Video Ella Meilniczenko are among the many insiders who provide interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Campfire CEO Ross Dinerstein and Bright West President Alex Lieberman, who is financing the project, are producers, while Campfire\u2019s Rebecca Evans, Ross Girard and Mark McCune serve as executive producers. UTA and Cinetic Media are representing the film jointly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m hyped to connect with my former colleagues and delve into the glory days of BuzzFeed, including what happened when the buzz wore off,\u201d Darragh said. \u201cOur time there was very much a part of internet history, and who better to tell the story than those who lived through all of the \u2018LOL\u2019 and \u2018WTF\u2019 moments? I\u2019m eager to share perspectives from both behind and in front of the camera and to work with Campfire and Bright West to bring the truth to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dinerstein said, \u201cMost startups launch with the best of intentions, and as a fellow entrepreneur, I often find myself looking at what worked and what didn\u2019t, and asking, \u2018Why?\u2019 Plus, any opportunity to explore the intersection of business and pop culture immediately piques my interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lieberman added, \u201cLike everyone else, I was captivated by BuzzFeed and what it must have been like to work there during the height of their influence.
