{"id":18963,"date":"2022-11-04T09:02:35","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T13:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/kelly-webb-lambs-mothership-makes-new-hire\/"},"modified":"2022-11-04T12:53:18","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T16:53:18","slug":"kelly-webb-lambs-mothership-makes-new-hire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/kelly-webb-lambs-mothership-makes-new-hire\/","title":{"rendered":"Kelly Webb-Lamb&#8217;s Mothership Makes New Hire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BBC Studios-backed unscripted indie Mothership Productions has appointed Donna Gomes as director of commercial and business affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Gomes will drive Mothership\u2019s commercial strategy, working closely with the creative leads to ensure the best commercial deals and taking the lead on business affairs and legal matters.<\/p>\n<p>She joins Mothership from BBC Studios Natural History Unit, where she was head of commercial, rights and business affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Gomes reports to CEO Kelly Webb-Lamb, former Channel 4 deputy director of programs who founded the company. Gomes starts her new role in January 2023. She joins a team that includes\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-GB\">Charlotte Desai (creative director), Gilly Greenslade (director of programs) and Gudren Claire (head of production). <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Webb-Lamb said: \u201cDonna brings with her huge experience in delivering ambitious creative content to the global market, and I am so impressed with her hunger and drive to be commercially creative and robust. We are all looking forward to her joining the Mothership senior team, where I know her calm presence and steely backbone will be enthusiastically welcomed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gomes said: \u201cI have huge admiration for Kelly, Charlotte, Gilly and Gudren. To be joining them at Mothership is the perfect next step for me after a very fulfilling time at BBC Studios. Mothership is at the start of an exciting journey, and I am impressed by the vision.
