The hosts meet with gold prospectors and local experts who have immersed themselves in the mysteries of the largest gold deposits in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Ipate and Cernat will explore grottos, rivers, deep forests, abandoned mines and more, guided by infrared technology.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Mystery of Dacian Gold<\/em> is created and producer by John Florescu, with Agnieszka Kubiak and Bart\u0142omiej Major as producers for the HISTORY Channel.<\/p>\n<p>The HISTORY Channel has been in the Romanian market for 14 years and has brought programming such as <em>Vikings<\/em>, <em>The Curse of Oak Island<\/em>, <em>Forged in Fire<\/em>, <em>Pawn Stars<\/em>, <em>American Pickers<\/em>, <em>The Colosseum<\/em>, <em>The UnXplained with William Shatner<\/em>, <em>Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman<\/em> and<em> History\u2019s Greatest Mysteries with Laurence Fishburne<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Izabella Wiley, senior VP and general manager of A+E Networks CEE, said, \u201cHistory can be a fascinating topic, especially when it is history of local people and events. Romanian history is full of courage and mystery. There are so many stories to tell about the past of Romania and how some of those past events still play a role in the present. We begin our Romanian history-telling by exploring <em>The Mystery of Dacian Gold<\/em>. This is the first docuseries commissioned by the HISTORY Channel in Romania, and it delivers straight out of the gate. In <em>The Mystery of Dacian Gold<\/em>, viewers will hear thrilling stories, find out about unexplained deaths, see beautiful scenery and learn about the ancient history of the country and the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt A+E Networks EMEA, we\u2019re consistently exploring new ways of delving into the heart and soul of history,\u201d said Heather Jones, chief creative officer for EMEA and general manager for the U.K. \u201cOur focus is to commission series with regional narratives and talent. This is just the beginning of our journey into creating even more authentic and original content for the HISTORY Channel in Romania.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Romanian series\u2019 debut followed the premiere of the Polish HISTORY Channel\u2019s new series <em>The Hunt for Silesian Treasure<\/em>, hosted by journalist and history expert \u0141ukasz Kazek, creator of the YouTube channel History Hiking.
