{"id":18913,"date":"2022-10-20T02:00:09","date_gmt":"2022-10-20T06:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2022-10-20T06:12:10","modified_gmt":"2022-10-20T10:12:10","slug":"food-affair-with-mark-wiens-to-premiere-in-u-s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/food-affair-with-mark-wiens-to-premiere-in-u-s\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. Slot for Food Affair with Mark Wiens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Food Affair with Mark Wiens<\/em>, a brand-new series giving viewers a look at Singapore\u2019s culinary culture, is slated to debut in the U.S. on November 18 on HBO, HBO GO and HBO Max.<\/p>\n<p>Each episode will see food vlogger Mark Wiens converse with a panel of guests to learn about the artistry and stories that have made Singapore home to more than 50 Michelin-starred establishments and over 60 Bib Gourmand locations.<\/p>\n<p>Wiens will acquaint himself with both Singapore\u2019s popular street food stalls and fine dining experiences.<\/p>\n<p>The series is directed by Gillian Tan and is executive produced and created by Eric Khoo, who also created <em>Folklore<\/em> and <em>Food Lore<\/em>. It kickstarts a three-year partnership between the Singapore Tourism Board and Warner Bros. Discovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a huge honor to be a part of the <em>Food Affair<\/em> series,\u201d Wiens said. \u201cI am immensely thankful for this opportunity and grateful to everyone who has made it possible. In addition to eating lots of delicious food and exploring the cultural diversity of cuisine in Singapore, it was most rewarding to learn the stories of each restaurant owner and how they have followed their passion (sometimes against many challenges), which is truly reflected in the taste of their food.
