Channel 5 has renewed its successful blue light series Traffic Cops <\/em>for a 12th season from Mentorn Media.<\/p>\n

The latest 20×60-minute season embeds with the officers at the North Yorkshire Road Policing Unit for the first time in three years. It will be presented by Jamie Theakston. Passion Distribution handles global distribution.<\/p>\n

Tayte Simpson, executive producer, commented: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be returning to North Yorkshire, the U.K.\u2019s largest county. It\u2019s been three years since we were last filming with the North Yorkshire Police and we\u2019re back with some of most dramatic incidents we\u2019ve ever filmed\u2014from a massive drug bust to a heart-stopping high-speed pursuit with an incredibly tense but successful outcome for North Yorkshire Police.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simon Meehan, series director, added: \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly excited to be back with the team at North Yorkshire RPU. It\u2019s been three years since we were last there, and so much has changed.
