{"id":18816,"date":"2022-10-04T11:56:33","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T15:56:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/rex-secures-first-commission\/"},"modified":"2022-10-04T11:56:33","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T15:56:33","slug":"rex-secures-first-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/rex-secures-first-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"Rex Secures First Commission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zinc Media Group\u2019s recently launched factual label Rex has secured its first commission with\u00a0<em>Scandals<\/em>, a collection of four stand-alone documentaries, for Channel 5.<\/p>\n<p>Each episode of <em>Scandals<\/em> tells the story of one of the most notorious scandals of the last 30 years, including Neil and Christine Hamilton\u2019s mishaps, 1980s TV personality Frank Bough\u2019s sexual scandals, former MP Jeffrey Archer\u2019s financial problems and libel case and the John Major and Edwina Currie affair.<\/p>\n<p><em>Scandals<\/em> will be executive produced by Lana Salah, creative director of Rex, and series edited by Jeremy Daldry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to have secured our first commission for Rex, which sits perfectly within the label\u2019s remit to create must-watch, returnable series for the broadest possible audiences,\u201d Salah said. \u201cAt Rex, our goal is to make popular innovative television, as well as work with the best program-makers in the country, so the fact that our first commission is with one of the U.K.\u2019s biggest broadcasters is incredibly exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tanya Shaw, managing director of Zinc Television, added, \u201cAt Rex, and with Lana at the helm, we are committed to creating content that brings a premium sensibility to popular factual and documentaries.
