Off the Fence (OTF) has added to its catalog a raft of titles that delve into such topics as climate change, biodiversity and the future of our planet.<\/p>\n
Wild Hope<\/em>, produced by HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and Part2 Pictures in a co-production with Wild Elements, profiles everyday people, conservationists and scientists who are restoring and protecting our planet. The eight-parter is set across some of the world\u2019s most exotic\u2014and familiar\u2014places and tells stories of changemakers and allies who are tackling the threats to wild creatures and habitats.<\/p>\n Also on the slate are two projects in collaboration with EarthxTV, including the four-parter The Future from Above<\/em>, a co-production between OTF Studios, Sky, EarthxTV, Korean TV Channel, ENA (KT Skylife TV) and Borderless Lab, with funding from Korean Communications Agency, KCA. The series focuses on how the world could look in 2050 if we embrace the revolutionary technology and thinking needed to transform every aspect of our lives.<\/p>\n The second OTF\/EarthxTV co-production, the eight-part series Ocean Mysteries<\/em> features marine biologist, scuba diver and wildlife expert Tom “The Blowfish” Hird, who combines stunts and pop-science demos with natural-history footage and analogies to unravel the mysteries behind a colorful cast of ocean creatures.<\/p>\n The Endangered Generation<\/em> (w.t.), which comes to OTF via a new producer relationship with Australia\u2019s Sweetshop & Green, is narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Laura Dern. It challenges the myth that our world is fundamentally driven by selfishness and competition, with scientists, artists and First Nation leaders exploring the deep connections that bind us all to life, our world and one another.<\/p>\n Loren Baxter, OTF\u2019s head of acquisitions, said: \u201cWhen OTF started out, our focus on natural history and the environment was considered a bit eccentric\u2014and certainly a bit niche.
