TVF International has inked a raft of deals for its factual content slate with broadcasters across Central and Eastern Europe ahead of NATPE Budapest.<\/p>\n
Telewizja Polsat, \u010cesk\u00e1 televize, RTVS, LRT and HRT are among the latest broadcasters that have picked up the returning series Aerial Profiles<\/em>, made by Skyworks Productions. Telewizja Polsat also acquired Peddling Pictures\u2019 Deciphering South Korea<\/em> and the second season of Sky Arte\u2019s Hidden Italy<\/em>.<\/p>\n National Geographic, meanwhile, snapped up the global environmental series Climate for Change<\/em>, produced by Mediacorp, for its feeds across Poland, Hungary and Romania.<\/p>\n Canal+ in Poland has added over 40 hours of factual programming, including the science documentary Carbon: The Unauthorised Biography<\/em> from Genepool productions and Handful of Films. NHK Enterprise\u2019s wildlife series Animal Instincts<\/em>, Eating Plants<\/em> from Indievillage, Mediacorp\u2019s Food in Our Time<\/em>, Secret Delicious<\/em> and In Search of Umami<\/em> were also part of the package.<\/p>\n Discovery Poland has acquired such current affairs and environmental factual series as Coded Word<\/em> from Peddling Pictures and Tipping Point: Climate Countdown<\/em> from Mediacorp, as well as\u00a0System Shock<\/em> from Bloomberg TV and How China\u00a0Got Rich<\/em> from Maya Vision.<\/p>\n Also in Poland, Michal Winnicki Entertainment licensed more than 50 hours of wildlife and blue-light programming, including two series from Tern TV\u2014Inside the Zoo<\/em> and\u00a0Emergency Helicopter Medics<\/em>\u2014and Ocean Wild<\/em>, a 4K underwater co-production from TVF International and Tokyovision.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, TRO Distribution licensed a package of 124 hours for Ajara TV, including the RTE-commissioned environmental series Eco-Eye<\/em>, travel and culture series City Time Traveller<\/em> and Grand Central Stations<\/em>. It also acquired the Vision TV-commissioned health series Ageless Gardens\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Aerial Profiles.<\/em><\/p>\n OBN, a local television network in Bosnia and Herzegovina, took a 125.5-hour package of titles that includes Celebrity Car Wars<\/em>, SupermodelMe<\/em>, Dog\u2019s Best Friend<\/em>, Give Me Shelter<\/em> and A Dog for Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n Finally, the Czech commercial free-to-air broadcaster FTV Prima has taken 35 hours of programming, including NHK\u2019s T-Rex: An Evolutionary Journey<\/em> and the second season of Animal Instincts<\/em>.<\/p>\n Serafina Pang, senior sales executive for Central Eastern Europe at TVF, said: \u201cAs an essential provider of factual content in CEE, TVF\u2019s growing catalog demonstrates the universal appeal of premium unscripted programming in the territory.
