FilmRise has tapped Cristina Guggino to fill the newly created position of director of unscripted production.<\/p>\n
In her new role, Guggino will oversee FilmRise\u2019s unscripted co-productions, original commissioning and development of unscripted and documentary series. She will also supervise FilmRise\u2019s day-to-day operations on existing co-production deals, including the continuation of its original true-crime series Bloodline Detectives<\/em>, hosted by Nancy Grace.<\/p>\n Guggino joins FilmRise from Weinberger Media, where she began her career as a researcher and rose through the ranks to become their executive in charge of development.<\/p>\n At FilmRise, Guggino will report directly to Max Einhorn, senior VP of acquisitions and co-productions. Katie Carroll, manager of co-productions, will report directly to Guggino.<\/p>\n Einhorn said: \u201cCristina brings an unmatched talent for recognizing stories and characters that have great potential.
