Zinc Media Group has launched Rex, a new label that will feature premium, popular factual programs and documentaries.<\/p>\n
BAFTA-winning executive producer Lana Salah will lead the label as creative director. She is known for her work on high-profile, long-running series such as SAS: Who Dares Wins<\/em>, First Dates<\/em> and Celebrity First Dates<\/em>.<\/p>\n Salah joins from Shine TV, where she was executive producer. She has worked on a number of productions, including The Write Offs<\/em>, Diamond Dealers<\/em>, Cockney Geezers<\/em>, Britain Underwater<\/em> and Mary Berry\u2019s A Berry Royal Christmas<\/em>.<\/p>\n Previously, Salah was an established freelance program-maker with credits on Boobs<\/em>, Anne Robinson\u2019s Britain<\/em>, Superhospital<\/em>, Food Unwrapped<\/em>, The House That Made Me<\/em>, World\u2019s Best Diet<\/em> and a range of series with Jamie Oliver such as Jamie\u2019s American Road Trip<\/em>, Jamie Does<\/em>, Ministry of Food<\/em>, Jamie\u2019s School Dinners<\/em> and Jamie\u2019s Return to School Dinners<\/em>.<\/p>\n The new label will work with commissioners, collaborators and co-production partners in the U.K. and internationally, as well as with Zinc\u2019s Branded Content division to bring innovative funding models to the table.<\/p>\n \u201cLana is an extraordinarily versatile and well-respected program-maker,\u201d said Tanya Shaw, managing director of Zinc Television. \u201cWith over 20 years of production experience on some of the U.K.\u2019s biggest popular factual series\u2014from talent-led returning series to premium documentary series and singles\u2014she has an extremely strong track record.
