During its TCA Winter Press Tour presentation, National Geographic revealed a slate of premium content exclusively for Disney+, including several James Cameron-produced series.<\/p>\n
Super\/Natural<\/em>, executive produced by Cameron and Plimsoll Productions, invites viewers to experience the natural world as super-sensing animals and insects do. Benedict Cumberbatch narrates the series.<\/p>\n Also executive produced by Cameron, Secrets of the Elephants<\/em> and Secrets of the Octopus<\/em> continue National Geographic’s Secrets Of… <\/em>franchise for Earth Day. In 2023, Secrets of the Elephants<\/em> will delve into the creatures’ rich emotional lives and almost supernatural ways of navigating the world with conservationist Dr. Paula Kahumbu. Secrets of the Octopus <\/em>will be\u00a0presented by wildlife scientist Dr. Alexandra Schnell. Maria Wilhelm of Earthship executive produces both series alongside Cameron. Oxford Scientific Films and SeaLight Pictures produce.<\/p>\n National Geographic has several series from Darren Aronofsky as well, including Pole to Pole<\/em> and Sentient<\/em>. Pole to Pole<\/em>, from Westbrook Studios, Nutopia and Aronofsky’s Protozoa, sees Will Smith lead viewers on a 26,000-mile journey from the South Pole to the North Pole to reveal the astonishing diversity of the world. From Protozoa and Wildstar Films and executive produced by Aronofsky, Sentient<\/em> examines the latest revelations from the fields of animal behavior, cognition and psychology.<\/p>\n Other series set for Disney+ include Great Migrations<\/em>, from Plimsoll Productions, which uses state-of-the-art remote cameras and the latest tracking technology to follow animal migrations; Home<\/em>, from BBC Studios Natural History Unit, which is set to be filmed over a decade and span nine seasons, journeying through the five oceans and seven continents; Lion<\/em>, from Jon Favreau and BBC Studios Natural History Unit, which takes a deep dive into the titular creatures; and The Biggest Little Farm Series<\/em> from FarmLore Films in association with Apricot Lane Farms and Neon, which centers on John and Molly Chester, who abandon their Los Angeles urban life for a dried-up farm in Ventura County.<\/p>\n Three adventure series are on National Geographic’s Disney+ slate as well. Beyond Belief with David Blaine<\/em>, from executive producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard and Imagine Documentaries, presents a rarely seen side of the magician. From Wildstar Films, The Epic Adventures of Bertie Gregory<\/em> sees the titular 27-year-old filmmaker take viewers on a journey that pushes into the most secretive corners of the wild world. Photographer<\/em> comes from executive producers E. Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin and their production company Little Monster Films and tells the personal stories of some of the world’s greatest visual artists.<\/p>\n The fact-based scripted series A Small Light<\/em>, from ABC Signature in partnership with Keshet Studios, is on National Geographic’s slate as well. It tells the story of Miep Gies, who helped hide the Frank family from the Nazis during World War II.<\/p>\n National Geographic made several additional announcements during its presentation, including that Michael B.
