{"id":17499,"date":"2022-01-21T10:14:01","date_gmt":"2022-01-21T15:14:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/discovery-launches-black-voices-hub\/"},"modified":"2022-01-21T12:08:26","modified_gmt":"2022-01-21T17:08:26","slug":"discovery-launches-black-voices-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/discovery-launches-black-voices-hub\/","title":{"rendered":"discovery+ Launches Black Voices Hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>discovery+ has unveiled its new Black Voices hub, which will feature programming spotlighting the African American community.<\/p>\n<p>The hub will be on the platform year-round and showcase curated series, documentaries and specials.\u00a0Among the discovery+ originals that will be available on the hub is the four-part docuseries <em>Profiled: The Black Man,\u00a0<\/em>premiering on February 12, which examines the origins of the stereotypes that have permeated society and impacted the lives of Black men in America.<\/p>\n<p>Uprooted, which will join the hub when it<em>\u00a0<\/em>premieres on February 18, tells the story of Keith Warren, who was 19 years old when his body was found hanging from a tree in 1986.\u00a0There\u2019s also the cooking competition series <em>The Great Soul Food Cook Off<\/em> and the renovation series <em>Remix My Space with Marsai Martin<\/em>, which are already streaming on discovery+.<\/p>\n<p>Additional titles that will be featured are <em>Love &amp; Marriage Huntsville<\/em>, <em>Black Love<\/em>, <em>Dr. Mercy<\/em>, <em>Home Grown<\/em>, <em>Family or Fiance<\/em>, <em>Burger Truck Brawl<\/em>,<em> Where Do We Go From Here?<\/em>, <em>(In)visible Portraits<\/em>, <em>Super Soul<\/em>, <em>Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall<\/em>, <em>The Legacy of Black Wall Street<\/em>, <em>OWN Spotlight: Oprah + 100 Black Fathers<\/em>, <em>Reno My Rental<\/em>, <em>Ghost Brothers: Lights Out<\/em>, <em>Home Grown<\/em> and <em>Doubling Down with the Derricos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa Holme, group senior VP of content and commercial strategy for Discovery, said: \u201cBlack voices should be celebrated 365 days a year.
