{"id":17392,"date":"2021-12-21T10:34:34","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T15:34:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/fremantle-takes-option-rights-raffaella-carra-doc\/"},"modified":"2021-12-21T12:10:10","modified_gmt":"2021-12-21T17:10:10","slug":"fremantle-takes-option-rights-for-raffaella-carra-doc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/fremantle-takes-option-rights-for-raffaella-carra-doc\/","title":{"rendered":"Fremantle Takes Option Rights for Raffaella Carr\u00e0 Doc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fremantle has secured the exclusive global option rights to create a documentary on Italian actress, recording artist, presenter, model and cultural icon Raffaella Carr\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>The new Fremantle documentary will chart Carr\u00e0&#8217;s life story, from her humble beginnings to becoming the \u201clady of Italian television.\u201d The project has been spearheaded at Fremantle by Andrea Scrosati, group COO and CEO in continental Europe; Gabriele Immirzi, CEO in Italy; Nathalie Garc\u00eda, CEO in Spain; Mandy Chang, global head of documentaries; and Alessandro De Rita, head of documentaries in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The project will also be supported in Spain by Fernando Jerez, managing director of EN Cero Coma Producciones.<\/p>\n<p>Carr\u00e0\u2019s career spanned seven decades, as she became a symbol of liberation and women\u2019s rights. In 1965, she had signed a deal with 20th Century Fox and appeared in the film <em>Von Ryan&#8217;s Express<\/em> alongside Frank Sinatra, Edward Mulhare and Trevor Howard. Her popularity grew in Spain and across Europe and Latin America as her reputation as a music artist grew, with albums such as <em>Forte Forte Forte<\/em>, released in 36 countries around the world.
