Using WMR\u2019s colorization techniques to update black-and-white World War Two archives, it shows audiences the allies&#8217; progress from early comebacks and victories to the surrender of Germany and Japan.<\/p>\n<p><em>World War Two in Color: The Road to Victory<\/em> uses previously unseen footage of Dunkirk, the Liberation of Paris, Iwo Jima and the Battle for Berlin and the U.S. invasion of Okinawa to show how the allies refined their combat methods and their technology to deliver victory. The colorization process involves researching the real colors that led to the shades of black and white depicted in the archive. WMR also updates the footage by matching the correct sounds against all the different weapons involved in the fighting portrayed in the series.<\/p>\n<p>Alan Griffiths, CEO of World Media Rights, said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled that Netflix is taking <em>The Road to Victory<\/em> to their 214 million subscribers as a Netflix series.
