The event is supported by host sponsor BBC Studios Productions and will coincide with BBC\u2019s centenary.<\/p>\n<p>Congress \u201922 will offer a full slate of conference panels and speakers exploring the latest programming trends, industry intelligence and technology impacting the factual community. There will also be Close Encounters of the Funding Kind sessions that feature presentations by broadcast and platform decision-makers and Speed Dating one-on-one curated pitch meetings. Further, Congress \u201922 will mark the return of social events, taking advantage of the city of Glasgow for further networking.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Lewis, conference director for WCSFP, said: \u201cIt\u2019s been 15 years since Congress was in Manchester, and our return to the U.K. is long overdue. It\u2019s such an incredible hub for creative and innovative factual programming and the ideal place for our community to gather in person after two years apart to get reinvigorated and inspired. We\u2019re thrilled to be working with our long-time supporter BBC Studios Productions to bring Congress \u201922 to Glasgow and to celebrate the BBC\u2019s centenary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tom McDonald, managing director of factual for BBC Studios Productions, added: \u201cI\u2019m so delighted that we\u2019re able to support Congress coming to Glasgow during a milestone year for the BBC.
