Fremantle Spain has tapped Fernando Jerez to head up En Cero Coma Producciones, a new production label dedicated to making factual and documentary programs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have the great opportunity to start a new label in an amazing international company that understands the values of creativity,\u201d said Jerez. \u201cAt En Cero Coma Producciones, we will put every effort into sharing great stories of our country that may be of interest anywhere on the planet with clear goals: to add talent, discover new creators and new views.\u201d<\/p>\n

The launch of the new label is part of Fremantle\u2019s wider global strategy to grow its footprint in the high-end factual space. Reporting to Fremantle Spain CEO Nathalie Garcia, Jerez will work closely with Mandy Chang, Fremantle\u2019s global head of documentaries.<\/p>\n

Jerez joins Fremantle Spain from Movistar+, where he headed up nonfiction original productions and launched linear channel #0. Prior to his time at Movistar+, Jerez was responsible for setting up operations in Spain and Portugal for Discovery and launched their free-to-air channel DMAX.<\/p>\n

He has an incredible track record in production and commissioning, and I know that with his expertise, connections, passion and dedication, he will lead En Cero Coma to be a major player in the world of factual and documentary program-making.
