The new production company Telltale, specializing in premium factual across audio, TV and film, has been launched by producer Jago Lee and business partner John Fothergill.<\/p>\n
The company has already struck an exclusive first-look agreement with Antica Productions as part of an equity investment, giving it access to the Canadian and U.S. markets, where they are co-developing projects.\u00a0Telltale’s launch slate will center on the crime, history and adventure genres.<\/p>\n
Lee previously worked with Antica to produce several podcasts, including the art crime series Art Bust<\/em> for UCG Audio, the podcast division of Universal Studio Group. Telltale is adopting an audio-first approach, borne out of Lee’s involvement with podcasts.<\/p>\n Fothergill has a background in business, including more than a decade at Goldman Sachs, where he launched multiple new ventures for the bank. Lee has held roles at Tiger Aspect, Antenna Pictures and Nerd TV, which he co-founded with Charlie Parsons and John Farrar. His credits include How to Rob a Bank<\/em> (Vice), Life\u2019s Too Short<\/em> (HBO\/BBC), Inside the Gangsters\u2019 Code<\/em> (Discovery) and Orangutan Jungle School<\/em> (Channel 4\/Love Nature), among others.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love telling complex, characterful, original stories, and we know these are treasured by audiences,\u201d Lee said. \u201cThey\u2019re also, of course, the most challenging series to develop straight into the TV market.
