{"id":17088,"date":"2021-10-27T10:25:39","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T14:25:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/hgtv-lowes-team-new-home-renovation-series\/"},"modified":"2021-10-27T11:49:31","modified_gmt":"2021-10-27T15:49:31","slug":"hgtv-lowes-team-for-new-home-renovation-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/hgtv-lowes-team-for-new-home-renovation-series\/","title":{"rendered":"HGTV &amp; Lowe\u2019s Team for New Home Renovation Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HGTV and Lowe\u2019s have partnered for <em>Build It Forward<\/em>, a new series created to highlight the home improvement company\u2019s 100 Hometowns initiative in recognition of its centennial this year.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by Matt Blashaw and Taniya Nayak, the HGTV-produced series will spotlight people across the country who nominated their communities for impact projects under the initiative and were selected for a surprise home renovation from HGTV. <em>Build It Forward<\/em> will premiere on HGTV and discovery+ in early 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The five featured homeowners live in towns in different states across the country. Each episode of <em>Build It Forward<\/em> will profile one community member and the organization they work with as HGTV\u2019s renovation stars come in to lend a hand. Lowe\u2019s products, supplies and materials will be used in the home renovations, as well as the 100 Hometowns projects.<\/p>\n<p>A companion mid-form series will be available on the HGTV website, social and TV Everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Steinlauf, chief U.S. ad sales officer at Discovery, said: \u201cLowe\u2019s has always shared HGTV\u2019s commitment to putting a spotlight on small communities across the country, a commitment that is seen in our programming and elevated through our partnership platforms. <em>Build It Forward<\/em> allows us to leverage our long and trusted relationship with Lowe\u2019s to leave a lasting impact on community members while telling great stories to our fans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marisa Thalberg, executive VP and chief brand and marketing officer at Lowe\u2019s, said: \u201cTo commemorate our 100th birthday year, we have been undertaking 100 hometown rejuvenation projects across the country, and we are so proud to be debuting the <em>Build It Forward<\/em> series to spotlight some of these projects and the community members behind them who embody the American spirit.
