From Thinkfactory Media, the two-parter will premiere on discovery+ on November 13.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2020, Joe Exotic (Joseph Maldonado-Passage), who ran the G.W. Zoo in Oklahoma, was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison after being convicted of a murder-for-hire plot to kill Baskin. A federal judge awarded the property to Baskin and her Big Cat Rescue in June 2020. With the help of retired homicide detective Griff Garrison, <em>Carole Baskin\u2019s Cage Fight<\/em> documents Baskin and her team as they investigate the property for lingering evidence of animal trafficking and abusive treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive VP of development and production of factual programming at Discovery, said: \u201c<em>Carole Baskin&#8217;s Cage Fight<\/em> reveals Carole\u2019s story in her own words. Viewers will see this larger-than-life personality in the fight for her beloved big cats\u2019 lives as she uncovers and stops the exploitation of these animals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baskin said: \u201cThis is a unique opportunity for audiences to come behind the scenes with us for an unfiltered look at how we expose the cub-petting exploiters and roadside zoos we feel are mistreating animals.
