{"id":16983,"date":"2021-10-11T09:44:34","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T13:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/banijay-rights-rep-janet-jackson-doc\/"},"modified":"2021-10-11T11:07:26","modified_gmt":"2021-10-11T15:07:26","slug":"banijay-rights-to-rep-janet-jackson-doc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/banijay-rights-to-rep-janet-jackson-doc\/","title":{"rendered":"Banijay Rights to Rep Janet Jackson Doc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Banijay Rights has acquired the global distribution rights to <em>JANET.<\/em>, Lifetime and A&amp;E\u2019s two-night, four-hour documentary event celebrating the 40th anniversary of Janet Jackson\u2019s first album.<\/p>\n<p>Banijay-owned Workerbee has been filming the doc for five years and has been granted exclusive access to archival footage and Jackson\u2019s never-before-seen home videos, as well as star-studded interviews. <em>JANET.<\/em> will air in early 2022 on Lifetime and A&amp;E.<\/p>\n<p><em>JANET.<\/em> is executive produced by Jackson, Randy Jackson and Academy Award-winner Kevin MacDonald (<em>The Last King of Scotland<\/em>, <em>Whitney<\/em>). It is produced for Lifetime and A&amp;E by Workerbee and AEC (Associated Entertainment Corporation).
