PBS International is distributing.<\/p>\n<p><em>Generation 9\/11<\/em> takes a look at the impact of the 9\/11 tragedy on its 20th anniversary, telling the stories of the children who were in their mothers\u2019 wombs when they lost their fathers in the terrorist attacks. A three-way commission by PBS, ARTE France and Channel 4, it is slated to bow on Channel 4 (where it will be broadcast as <em>Children of 9\/11: Our Story<\/em>) on August 16. On August 31, it will receive its U.S. premiere on PBS, with ARTE France premiering it in France and Germany (where it will be broadcast as <em>Children of 9\/11<\/em>) on the same day.<\/p>\n<p>John Smithson, executive producer and creative director at Arrow Pictures, said: \u201c9\/11 is an event that reverberated around the world, having ramifications for many, far from the Twin Towers in New York, and for many years to come. None were affected more so than the contributors in our film, whose lives will forever be shaped by the events that day. The result of a creative collaboration between Arrow Pictures and three leading broadcasters, and a huge research project, this film holds up a unique lens on the impact of these events.
