{"id":16605,"date":"2021-08-05T11:38:45","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T15:38:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/top-gear-production-shifting-bristol\/"},"modified":"2021-08-05T11:38:45","modified_gmt":"2021-08-05T15:38:45","slug":"top-gear-production-shifting-to-bristol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/top-gear-production-shifting-to-bristol\/","title":{"rendered":"Top Gear Production Shifting to Bristol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The London-based, BBC Studios-produced BBC One motoring entertainment show <em>Top Gear<\/em> is set to relocate production to Bristol next spring.<\/p>\n<p><em>Top Gear<\/em>\u2019s track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey will continue to be used for filming recordings while the series itself films across the U.K. and around the world.\u00a0The move will create a number of openings for editorial and production management personnel based in the nations and regions.<\/p>\n<p>Production for the show\u2019s 31st season has been taking place all over the U.K. during the summer, and the team recently completed its first international shoot since prior to the pandemic when the presenters and crew visited Iceland. The 33rd season, due on screens in 2022, will be the first to be produced from the new base in Bristol.<\/p>\n<p><em>Top Gear<\/em> is made by BBC Studios Factual Entertainment Productions for BBC One.<\/p>\n<p>Hannah Wyatt, BBC Studios\u2019 managing director for factual entertainment and events productions commented: \u201cOur Bristol hub is an already incredibly successful and vibrant production base that makes many of our highly popular returning factual-entertainment series and blue-chip natural-history titles\u2014so the <em>Top Gear<\/em> team will be in very good creative company.
