Channel 4 has commissioned two new seasons of Grand Designs: The Street<\/em>, produced by Naked West.<\/p>\n

The new seasons of Grand Designs: The Street<\/em> will follow a selection of adventurous self-builders as they create and build their own unique homes. Kevin McCloud is returning to host alongside new co-presenter Natasha Huq, an Edinburgh-based architect.<\/p>\n

McCloud will head back to the U.K.\u2019s largest mass self-build site, Graven Hill, Oxfordshire, to follow the future residents who are working to make their own, highly individual homes. It will also track the fortunes of several new pilot plots in Glasgow that are being developed into extraordinary homes.<\/p>\n

The first series of Grand Designs: The Street<\/em> aired in 2019.<\/p>\n

McCloud said: \u201cWe witnessed the very beginnings of the Graven Hill site in the first series of The Street<\/em>, and it was an honor to spend time alongside our ten plucky guinea pigs. Now we\u2019re back to follow more projects as Britain\u2019s largest self-build community really gets going. I\u2019m also excited to be able to look at other pilot projects such as Glasgow in this series. Self-build and custom-build are here to stay, and at this rate, they\u2019re going to make a big contribution to Britain\u2019s housing supply.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ian Dunkley, commissioning editor for Channel 4, said: \u201cBoth new series of Grand Designs: The Street<\/em> will capture the spirit of community that these incredible self-build streets engender, as the determination, resilience and ambition of the builders shines through, to create something extraordinary.\u201d<\/p>\n

John Comerford, head of Naked West, said: \u201cGrand Designs<\/em> has always been about more than just remarkable architecture, it\u2019s about the people behind the projects, and 2019\u2019s series of The Street<\/em> showed us just what happens when you bring those people together in a community.
