The social media hit Cheap Old Houses, which counts more than 1.6 million Instagram followers, has inspired a new series that debuts on HGTV next month.<\/p>\n
Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein, who founded the Cheap Old Houses social feed, front the series. In each episode, cameras will follow the couple as they tour low-priced older houses across America and ultimately choose which ones to feature on their site.<\/p>\n
The series, also titled Cheap Old Houses<\/em>, is to premiere on August 9, with back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on HGTV. In addition to airing on HGTV, the first four episodes of Cheap Old Houses<\/em> will be available to stream on discovery+ early on August 9 as a special preview. After the initial launch, two additional new episodes of Cheap Old Houses<\/em> will drop early each Monday on discovery+ through August 30.<\/p>\n \u201cWe started Cheap Old Houses on Instagram and it ignited a movement,\u201d said Ethan. \u201cOur site features the best historic properties on the market right now and that means we have to go find the best places to post.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe always say no sleep until every house is saved,\u201d said Elizabeth.<\/p>\n \u201cCheap Old Houses is a real estate rabbit hole\u2014and we live it,\u201d added Elizabeth. \u201cAnd that\u2019s not even the best part.
