Shark Week is returning for its 33rd year this July with more hours of shark programming than ever across Discovery and discovery+.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Shark Week will feature Discovery\u2019s first-ever shark competitive docuseries, Shark Academy<\/em>, and the return of shark-themed episodes of Josh Gates Tonight<\/em>. The lineup will deliver all-new shark stories offering insights into the world of these creatures. Celebrities including William Shatner, Tiffany Haddish, Brad Paisley, the cast of Jackass<\/em> and others will be making appearances throughout the week.<\/p>\n Shark Academy<\/em>, which will premiere on discovery+, follows eight men and women who will compete to secure a crew spot on shark scientist Dr. Riley Elliott\u2019s next great shark diving expedition. The recruits will work and live together on a research vessel for six weeks, as Riley and his team of pros put them to the test.<\/p>\n Shark Week commences on July 11 and continues through July 18.
