HGTV has given the production greenlight to 16 new series and pilots for its 2021 lineup.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve locked in a solid lineup of creative, innovative and entertaining programming to inspire people who want to reimagine their homes,\u201d said Jane Latman, president of HGTV. \u201cThis is just the beginning. We\u2019re taking scores of pitch meetings, reviewing hundreds of concept reels, talent sizzles and social media sites\u2014looking for imaginative real estate, renovation and design experts who are pushing the envelope with their distinct points of view.\u201d<\/p>\n
This first batch of new show orders represents more than 109 episodes or 77 hours of content. Clinton Kelly, Lara Spencer, Leanne Ford, Steve Ford, Luke Caldwell, Clint Robertson, Jon Pierre Tjon-Joe-Pin and Mary Tjon-Joe-Pin are among the talent with series scheduled to hit the air next year.<\/p>\n
Home Again with the Fords<\/em> will star sister-brother duo and home renovation experts Leanne and Steve Ford as they help clients transform their childhood homes. Good Morning America<\/em>\u2019s Lara Spencer will star in Everything but the House<\/em> (wt), which will see her and a team of expert appraisers helping families declutter their homes to find and auction off items of value. Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson will renovate homes for growing families in Boise, Idaho, who need more space in Outgrown<\/em>, while Houston-based, husband-wife team Jon Pierre and Mary Tjon-Joe-Pin will help clients sell their house and use the profit to purchase and overhaul a new place to create a forever home in Texas Two Step<\/em>.<\/p>\n The three pilots HGTV has greenlit for 2021 include Divide and Design<\/em> (wt), starring sisters Courtney Robinson and Leslie Antonoff as they help homeowners identify their \u201cstruggle spaces\u201d and transform them on a budget; Fresh Starter<\/em> (wt), spotlighting design duo and real-life couple Austin Coleman and Raisa Kuddus as they help create custom renovations using only the awkward spaces and tight budgets their young clients have to offer; and Cabin Crew<\/em> (wt), with husband\/wife team Ben and Loana Sargent will transforming Vermont\u2019s tired cottages and cabins into stylish, cozy escapes.<\/p>\n House-hunting titles in the works include Self-Made Mansions<\/em> (wt), My Lottery Dream Home International<\/em> and 40-Year-Old Property Virgin<\/em> (wt). In the emotional real estate category are Life Under Renovation<\/em> and Unfinished Business<\/em>. There\u2019s also Inside Out<\/em> with renovation duo Carmine Sabatella and Mike Pyle; Save This House<\/em> (wt) with history buff Mike Lemieux, carpenter Rich Soares and designer Jen Macdonald; and docu-design series Breaking Bland<\/em> and One Week to Sell<\/em> (wt).<\/p>\n Latman said: \u201cThis order of new series and pilots will focus on stories of home and the families who live in them.
