The revelations in the interview stunned the world, painted the monarchy as cruel and oppressive and put its future in jeopardy. The new doc features insiders at the BBC and those who knew and worked closely with Diana, along with archive documents that help to piece together the full story behind the explosive interview.<\/p>\n<p>Among those featured in <em>Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview<\/em>, distributed by Fremantle,\u00a0are Diana\u2019s former private secretary Patrick Jephson, biographer Andrew Morton and Sir Max Hastings.<\/p>\n<p>Shaminder Nahal, commissioning editor of specialist factual for Channel 4, said: \u201cThis is one of the world\u2019s most famous television interviews\u2014viewers watched enthralled and shocked as Princess Diana revealed the stories of her broken marriage. But how did Martin Bashir and the BBC production team get her to do it? Years of deep digging into what really happened has led to <em>Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview<\/em> from Blink Films\u2014and it\u2019s a genuinely intriguing and fascinating watch, raising serious questions that have been unanswered for years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dan Chambers, creative director of Blink Films, added: \u201cDiana\u2019s <em>Panorama<\/em> interview stunned the world and rocked the Monarchy with its revelations about her relationship with her husband and the Royal family.
