Allen (<em>Last Man Standing<\/em>, <em>Home Improvement<\/em>) will star and executive producer, while Karn (<em>Pen15<\/em>, <em>Home Improvement<\/em>) will serve as host and executive producer.<\/p>\n<p>The show is produced by Wheelhouse Entertainment\u2019s Spoke Studios, ITV America and Boxing Cat Entertainment. It is slated for a 2021 debut on HISTORY.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s face it\u2014we\u2019re living in a throwaway society,\u201d said Allen. \u201cWe buy, break, replace\u2026 rinse and repeat. Whatever happened to repair and rebuild? There are some people who unfriend, unfollow and dispose of anything that offends, annoys or breaks\u2014so I\u2019ve created a show to remind people of the satisfaction and pride that comes from rebuilding something on their own. And who better to join me than my buddy from the old Tool Time days\u2014Richard Karn! Now we\u2019re talking More Power! Albert Einstein once said, \u2018I\u2019m not a genius, I\u2019m just passionately curious.\u2019 Well, let\u2019s get curious! Even a chimpanzee would at least show interest, right? Wait\u2014I think I just came up with another idea for the show! R-R-R!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur history is defined by the innovations of ordinary dreamers creating extraordinary things, from Thomas Edison\u2019s light bulb to the Wright brothers\u2019 first flight,\u201d said Eli Lehrer, executive VP and general manager for HISTORY. \u201cWe look forward to partnering with Tim and Richard, America\u2019s beloved duo, as they challenge a new wave of skilled individuals to think out-of-the-box to build upon the innovations of those before them.
