With the help of an elaborate special-effects mask and professional coaching to perfect facial expressions, gestures, singing voice and dance routines, the celebrities transform into their favorite music legends.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by Daniel Hartwich, the show will feature staged performances, a comedy panel and studio audience. Every performance starts with the stars lip-syncing before the performance changes to live vocals. Clips offer hints about the star\u2019s true identity, and after each round, the panel and the studio audience select who best embodied their music idol and delivered the perfect illusion. A winner is chosen in the <em>Big Performance\u2014wer ist der Star im Star?<\/em> finale.<\/p>\n<p>The new series was developed in house, with Banijay holding all format rights for <em>The Star in the Star<\/em>.
