The film was co-produced with Smithsonian Channel and is set to premiere in the U.K. and U.S. in September.<\/p>\n<p>NHK in Japan, France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions in France and SVT in Sweden are also set to broadcast versions of the film. LGI Media will be responsible for worldwide distribution.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tibet: Roof of the World<\/em> takes an in-depth look and explores life on the highest mountain plateau on Earth. The special follows the lives of some of the iconic creatures that call it home\u2014from Tibetan wolves struggling to raise pups and snub-nosed monkeys facing family dramas to chiru antelopes and pika.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Johnson, executive producer and IFA Media partner, said: \u201cOur China office enabled us to gain unprecedented access to one of the most difficult places on earth to film.
