The three-part\u00a0<em>Lincoln\u00a0<\/em>(working title) will be produced by Nutopia and Pastimes Productions. The two-part\u00a0<em>Theodore Roosevelt<\/em><b>\u00a0<\/b>(working title) will be executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio from RadicalMedia, Appian Way Productions and Pastimes Productions.\u00a0A+E Networks will represent the worldwide distribution rights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">These presidential series are in addition to the previously announced six-hour miniseries event, <em>Grant,<\/em><b>\u00a0<\/b>premiering May 25.<\/p>\n<p>HISTORY has also ordered a second season of <em>The Men Who Built America<\/em> from Appian Way Productions and Stephen David Entertainment, executive produced by DiCaprio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The new series with Clinton &#8220;will explore the history of the American presidency and the struggle for a more perfect union,&#8221; HISTORY said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cHISTORY is doubling down on its commitment to invest in premium historical programming that showcases the compelling stories of those who have shaped our nation,\u201d said Eli Lehrer, executive VP and general manager for HISTORY. \u201cWe are truly honored to grow our partnerships with present-day icons like President Clinton, Leo and Doris to utilize their unique insider perspectives to help bring these incredible stories to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cUnderstanding our past provides a pathway for our future, which is why I\u2019m so glad to be partnering again with HISTORY to tell the remarkable stories of some of our best past presidents,\u201d Goodwin said. \u201cTo truly appreciate how Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt handled extreme national crises and overcame heart-wrenching personal adversities can reassure us that as trying as our situation is now today, our country and our people have endured and prevailed through other tremendously trying times.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HISTORY is collaborating with former U.S. President Bill Clinton on a new documentary series and is expanding its partnerships with Appian Way, RadicalMedia and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":290,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[474],"class_list":["post-14518","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","","category-top-stories","tag-history","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
