HBO Max has given a straight-to-series order to a yet-to-be-titled cooking project starring and executive produced by Selena Gomez.<\/p>\n

The unscripted ten-episode cooking series features Gomez navigating the unfamiliar territory of making meals while stuck at home in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic. In each episode of the cookalong, the singer and actress will be joined remotely by a different master chef and together they’ll tackle a variety of cuisines, sharing tips and tricks. Every episode will also highlight a food-related charity. The series is slated to debut this summer.<\/p>\n

Gomez is executive producing for July Moon Productions along with executive producers Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman on behalf of Industrial Media\u2019s The Intellectual Property Corporation.<\/p>\n

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max, said: \u201cWe are so excited to have Selena Gomez in our first wave of programming on HBO Max and watch her adventures in the kitchen as she, like many of us, tries to improve her cooking skills during quarantine. Blending her determination with top-tier culinary artists is sure to entertain and educate viewers about something we\u2019re all trying to work through\u2014how to make cooking at home exciting, fun and delicious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gomez added: \u201cI\u2019ve always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I\u2019ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I\u2019ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef. I definitely don\u2019t have the formal training though!
