In the doc, Bound attempts to locate the iconic vessels, including the SMS Scharnhorst, which were sunk by the British Navy during one of the first great sea battles of World War I. CGI graphics, underwater footage and archive provide the backstory in the special as it documents the race against time to locate the wrecks.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lost Ships: The Hunt for the Kaiser\u2019s Superfleet<\/em> is a TVT Production in association with Polestar Pictures. The program was produced with funding from The Falkland Maritime Heritage Trust.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Producer Charles Thompson said: \u201c<em>Lost Ships: The Hunt for the Kaiser\u2019s Superfleet<\/em> is a riveting story of the culmination of one man\u2019s childhood dream to find a lost fleet of the world\u2019s most fearsome battleships.
