{"id":14053,"date":"2020-01-30T12:15:46","date_gmt":"2020-01-30T17:15:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/channel-5-orders-pair-behind-scenes-docs-icon-films\/"},"modified":"2020-01-30T12:47:52","modified_gmt":"2020-01-30T17:47:52","slug":"channel-5-orders-pair-of-behind-the-scenes-docs-from-icon-films","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/channel-5-orders-pair-of-behind-the-scenes-docs-from-icon-films\/","title":{"rendered":"Channel 5 Orders Pair of Behind-the-Scenes Docs from Icon Films"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Icon Films has been commissioned by the U.K.&#8217;s Channel 5 to produce two 90-minute one-off documentaries: <em>Secrets of the Mega\u2026Airline Food<\/em> and <em>Secrets of the Mega\u2026Landfill<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Secrets of the Mega\u2026Airline Food<\/em> gives an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the U.K.\u2019s largest supplier of airline food, Alpha LSG, at their food-production center near London\u2019s Heathrow Airport. <em>Secrets of the Mega\u2026Landfill<\/em> shares access to one of the largest waste landfill sites in North America, taking a close look at the industry that transports, processes, disposes and reuses waste on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>The two new programs follow on from last year\u2019s Icon Films productions <em>All You Can Eat: Secrets of the Mega\u2026 Buffet<\/em> and <em>Totally Stuffed! Secrets of the Mega\u2026 Christmas Buffet<\/em>, which both gave an insight into the inner workings of one of the U.K.\u2019s largest buffet restaurant chains, JRC Global Buffet.<\/p>\n<p>Icon Films\u2019 creative director, Stephen McQuillan, said: \u201cWe are excited to create more of the <em>Secrets of the Mega\u2026<\/em>\u00a0documentaries with this double commission from Channel 5.
