London-based TCB Media Rights has closed a raft of deals totaling 130-plus hours of programming with broadcasters across Latin America.<\/p>\n
TCB Media Rights has inked a two-title deal with A+E Latin America for Discovery Science and UKTV\u2019s Abandoned Engineering<\/em> and Shipwreck Secrets<\/em>. Both series are produced by Like A Shot. This latest A+E acquisition follows a deal for Pixcom\u2019s The Guild Garage<\/em>, originally produced for Discovery. Discovery Latin America has picked up Just Might TV\u2019s Flipping Bangers<\/em> and Wider Films\u2019 The Car Years<\/em>, and renewed its license for the first two series of Cry Havoc Productions\u2019 Supercar Superbuild<\/em>. Also headed for Discovery Latin America is Barcroft Media\u2019s Shake My Beauty<\/em>.<\/p>\n National Geographic Latin America has taken a package of TCB Media Rights titles that includes Border Interceptors<\/em>, Egypt\u2019s Unexplained Files<\/em>, Kitten Rescuers<\/em>, Mythical Beats Unearthed<\/em> and World\u2019s Wildest Weather<\/em>.<\/p>\n The Latin-American lifestyle and entertainment network \u00a1Hola! TV has licensed ITN Productions\u2019 portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, Elizabeth<\/em>, which was originally commissioned by Channel 5.<\/p>\n Leading TCB Media Rights’ NATPE Miami slate is the TCB original commission Edges Unknown<\/em>, from Toronto-based indie 4East Media. The eight-part series follows explorers, conservationists and best friends Brett and Cliff as they aspire to live off the grid, with a back-to-basics lifestyle. Other highlights include the recently launched shows How Did They Build That?<\/em>, Lords of the Ocean<\/em> and Shocking Emergency Calls<\/em>.<\/p>\n Lenneke de Jong, TCB Media Rights’ sales manager for Latin America, said: \u201cThis last year has been a great one for us in Latin America, which is developing a real appetite for our premium factual entertainment.
