Made by True to Nature, the series was commissioned by BBC and UKTV in association with Fremantle, which holds global distribution rights.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa Honig, senior executive VP of distribution for North America and international for Fremantle, said: \u201c<em>Expedition with Steve Backshall<\/em> takes viewers to incredible parts of our planet where humans have never ventured before. Steve and his expert team travel to the furthest corners of the world, making eye-opening discoveries that will be sure to capture audiences across America on PBS.
