He will report directly to the company\u2019s president and co-owner, Kate Harrison Karman.<\/p>\n<p>Kalangis was previously VP of creative for digital and creative director for marblemedia in Toronto. There, he increased audience numbers for marblemedia digital and interactive content and earned multiple honors, including the Digi-Award for the app Open Heart (TeenNick, YTV), which was ranked in the top 25 entertainment apps in the app store, as well as back-to-back Gemini awards for cross-platform properties. Prior to that role, he served as executive in charge of digital and interactive entertainment at CBC Digital, Radio and Television.<\/p>\n<p>Cream\u2019s VR\/AR credits include <em>A Curious Mind with Dominic Monaghan<\/em> for Hulu as well as Oak AR, an augmented reality game, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to have Johnny join our management team at Cream,\u201d said Karman. \u201cJohnny brings a wealth of experience and his broad range of talents will be a great addition as Cream expands our efforts in digital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m grateful for the opportunity to join Cream at this moment in the company\u2019s growth,\u201d added Kalangis. \u201cThe truly amazing people here are passionate about creating thoughtful, high-quality content for both traditional and emerging platforms.
