HBO Max has revealed the senior executives tapped to lead original nonfiction content for WarnerMedia\u2019s direct-to-consumer offering, scheduled to launch in spring 2020.<\/p>\n
The team includes Lizzie Fox, senior VP of nonfiction programming, and Rebecca Quinn, VP of nonfiction original programming, both reporting into Jennifer O\u2019Connell, executive VP of original nonfiction and kids at HBO Max. Fox comes from CNN, where she most recently served as VP of CNN Original Series and managed the production of more than 40 original nonfiction series, including the Peabody- and Emmy Award-winning Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown<\/em>. Quinn previously was head of development for Matt Kunitz\u2019s Pulse Creative, under a deal at Lionsgate, where they created and produced pilots, network presentations and series.<\/p>\n Brett Boydstun has been named senior VP of nonfiction production, reporting into Mark Weissman, senior VP of production for HBO Max. Boydstun was formerly the executive VP and head of production for Karga Seven Pictures, working on hit series such as JFK: Declassified<\/em>, Hunting Hitler<\/em> and The Hunt for the Zodiak Killer<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cNonfiction storytelling will be a crucial component to HBO Max and we now have the leadership and team in place to bring the best this genre has to offer to our offering,\u201d said Kevin Reilly, chief content officer for HBO Max and president of TNT, TBS and truTV.<\/p>\n \u201cThis senior team is phenomenal, having a formidable wealth of experience in the nonfiction space,\u201d said O\u2019Connell. \u201cAs a multi-Emmy winner, Lizzie has a reputation for producing a list of critically-acclaimed and award-winning documentaries and nonfiction series. Rebecca has a proven track record of creating and producing internationally renowned formats and franchises.
