Meanwhile, Al Jazeera picked up the one-offs <em>Pakistan\u2019s Fake Degree<\/em>, <em>Dying for Gold<\/em> and <em>Fighting Slavery<\/em> <em>from Space<\/em> for its 101 East strand.<\/p>\n<p>The newly launched pan-Asian channel Tech TV has raided the factual distributor&#8217;s business and technology catalog, picking up programs including seasons nine and ten of the Emmy Award-winning CBS series <em>Innovation Nation<\/em>, as well as CNBC\u2019s <em>Pop Up Start Up<\/em> (6&#215;50 min.).<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese public broadcaster NHK licensed the HD and 4K rights to BBC Four\u2019s <em>A Year in an English Garden<\/em> for its satellite and cable feeds, in addition to NAME, the broadcaster\u2019s VOD platform.<\/p>\n<p>In South Korea, pubcaster MBC picked up a package of seventeen 4K hours, which also includes\u00a0<em>The World\u2019s Most Powerful Telescopes<\/em>\u00a0(in addition to\u00a0<em>Empires of Silver<\/em>)\u00a0for MBC TV. The Korean Forces Network picked up a package of military titles, including the Burning Bright-produced Channel 5 series <em>Raw Recruits<\/em> (10&#215;45 min.). Soom Channel, which recently started broadcasting on the KT Olleh IPTV network, picked up a package of lifestyle content that includes RTE\u2019s <em>Painting the Nation<\/em> (2&#215;60 min., 8&#215;30 min.). Aceone Media also licensed the rights to Bloomberg\u2019s <em>Peer to Peer<\/em>, and YNTV picked up <em>Gold: The Story of Man\u2019s 6,000 Year Obsession<\/em> (2&#215;52 min.).<\/p>\n<p>In Hong Kong, TVB licensed a package of programs, including the one-off <em>Singapore\u2019s Secret Forests with David Attenborough<\/em>, the six-parter <em>Thailand\u2019s Grand Spaces<\/em> and the short-form series <em>101 Easy Japanese Recipes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In the Philippines, Mediacorp\u2019s <em>Glamping Adventures<\/em> (8&#215;30 mins.) and season five of <em>Luxe Asia\u00a0<\/em>(10&#215;30 min.) have found a home with ABS-CBN, the country\u2019s largest broadcasting corporation. Meanwhile, Cineplex Thailand has acquired Sky Italia\u2019s <em>Hidden Italy<\/em> (15&#215;25 min.), RTE\u2019s <em>Building Ireland<\/em> (12&#215;25 min.), ABC\u2019s <em>The Bikes of Wrath<\/em> (6&#215;50 min.) and the CBC one-off <em>The New Science of Food<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In Vietnam, national broadcaster VTV licensed a package of 70 hours of programming, and Fim Plus signed a 4K package deal that includes Prime TV\u2019s <em>Ocean Predators<\/em> (4&#215;44 min.) and season two of Animal Planet\u2019s <em>Dog\u2019s Best Friend<\/em> (12&#215;22 min.).
