The show is produced by Workerbee, a part of Endemol Shine UK.<\/p>\n<p><em>Murdertown<\/em> is an in-depth investigation into the impact of a murder or series of murders on a community in Britain. In each episode, Katherine Kelly takes the audience to towns where murders took place and tells the story through the testimony of investigating police officers, local journalists, friends, relatives and business colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>Towns featured in season two include Portsmouth, Wrexham, Ipswich, Darlington, Greenock, Grimsby, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Nuneaton and Croydon.<\/p>\n<p>Dan Korn, VP of programming at A+E Networks UK, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to welcome back our highest-ever rated original series on Crime+Investigation. It tells these important stories from new perspectives and breathes life into what, for many, was a passing newspaper headline, but which, for each local community involved, left scars and fissures which endure to this day.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly said: \u201cI\u2019m pleased to be returning to Crime+Investigation for season two of the show; these new towns and cases we cover are fascinating, with stories that really do demonstrate the devastating impact and senseless nature of these awful crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Darrell Brown, series producer for Workerbee, added: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be making a second season of <em>Murdertown<\/em>\u2014which promises to go deeper into these communities.
