Woodcut Media has been commissioned by Discovery to produce British Police: Our Toughest Cases<\/em> in addition to a second season of The Killer in My Family<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A six-part docuseries, British Police: Our Toughest Cases<\/em> will explore cases that affected communities, careers and the most experienced officers, ranging from murders and sexual attacks to child abuse. It will feature in-depth interviews with the crime-scene investigators, detectives, family liaison officers and arresting officers at the center of the investigations. Some of the victims\u2019 families will also share their perspectives on the crimes\u2019 devastating effects on their lives.<\/p>\n

The new season of The Killer in My Family<\/em> will include such high-profile cases as that of Britain\u2019s most dangerous prisoner, Robert Maudsley, and delve into homicide and its impact from the perspectives of murderers\u2019 family members and those who knew the killers personally.<\/p>\n

Both British Police: Our Toughest Cases<\/em> and The Killer in My Family<\/em> will appear on Discovery\u2019s free-to-air channel Quest Red. Blue Ant International, which has global distribution rights to the programs outside of the U.K., has provided deficit financing for the new series as well as season 2 of The Killer in My Family<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Clare Laycock, senior VP and head of lifestyle and entertainment brands at Discovery Networks UK and Ireland, said: \u201cBritish Police: Our Toughest Cases<\/em> and The Killer in My Family<\/em> will give viewers the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of high-profile investigations from the perspective of professionals and the families that are impacted. Both shows will bolster Quest Red\u2019s hugely popular crime strand, which includes Britain\u2019s Deadliest Kids<\/em> and Murder On CCTV<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
